About NY Small Business Health
NY Small Business Health is an independent information resource for New Jersey employers with 1 to 50 employees who are shopping for group health coverage, or trying to understand the coverage they already have.
The site is not an insurance agency, and it is not a government website.
This site explains the rules; licensed brokers give the advice
New Jersey’s small group market runs on specific numbers and dates: who counts as an employee, how participation is measured, what an employer has to contribute, and when the rules are waived. Most of that is written down in state publications that few business owners have time to read. This site puts those rules in plain English, with the math shown.
What the site doesn’t do is recommend a plan, quote a price, or sell insurance. Those decisions depend on your business’s details and belong with a licensed New Jersey insurance producer. When you submit an inquiry through this site, it’s shared with a licensed New Jersey producer who can have that conversation with you.

A wrong answer about a health insurance rule can cost an employer real money or months of delay. That’s why this matters more here than on most websites.
